Frequently Asked Consumer Questions

What does my FICO score need to be?

Lenders credit scoring requirements are constantly changing however at this time they are requiring a middle score of 620, we make it our aim to get your middle score higher than 620 so that you will not be adversely effected if the scoring requirements change.

What is a middle score?

Since there are 3 credit bureaus there are three FICO scores that lenders look at. In an effort to keep it fair they take a look at all three scores, however they throw out your high score and your low score and make an initial decision based off of the score that is in the middle. If that score is at least a 620 or higher they will consider you for a mortgage.

How much does the program cost?

This program is $225, that includes the credit rehab, access to watch what we are doing online, we also give you tips and advice for you to review during the entire process and we stick with you after you get your home just to make sure that you are ok and don’t have any set backs, all for no additional charge.

How fast can you get this done?

Most cases take 30 -45 days, however we would need to see your credit reports to give a more clear estimate.

Is it true the some credit repair can actually hurt my score?

If done incorrectly it can hurt you. For instance if you have a collection account and simply decide to pay it off in an effort to improve your score, it actually with hurt your score. The reason is because when your money is received the collection agency will report to the credit bureaus that you paid and that action will re-age the collection account and will cause it to appear as a new collection account. Our credit analyst first try to get those collection accounts removed, then IF payment is needed, they negotiate with the collection agency for a smaller payment than what you owe and make arrangements to have the item no longer reported, that increases your credit score.

Can’t I do it myself?

Yes you can! We can even send you a Do It yourself guide from the Federal Trade Commission all I need is your email address. It does involve a lot of time and organization but it definitely can be done, would you like me to have that sent to you?

Am I just going to have to pay all my bills off anyway?

No. Our goal is to remove debits that no longer need to appear on your report. There may be some bills remaining that we cannot get off after several dispute attempts. However to do this as quickly as possible we will, with your permission negotiate a settlement and make sure the item is removed after settlement is reached.

How do I get my credit reports?

If you have already been denied credit for a home, you can call that lender and tell them to send to you the credit report that they reviewed to make their credit decision. You can also get a free credit report from all three bureaus by going to annualcreditreport.com, however you need your FICO scores, the best place to get your fico scores is to go to MyFico.com, there you can get your Transunion and Equifax Scores, Experian no longer provides scores to MyFico.com, so you will have to get that score directly from Experian.com

What do I have to do to get started?

First thing we need are your credit reports for one of our analysts to look over. Once we take a look we determine a game plan, how long it will take us to resolve the issues and then we consult with you to tell you the plan and the time period. If you feel comfortable to proceed we will send you a contract to review and sign and return. Do you have your credit reports along with your FICO scores? If yes they can fax it to our secure fax line 610-500-5080.
